Today's Dare: Purposefully neglect an activity you would normally do so you can spend quality time with your spouse. Do something he or she would love to do or a project they'd really like to work on. Just be together.
God's Word says: Enjoy life with the wife (husband) you love all the days of your fleeting life Ecclesiastes 9:9

Chad mentioned this morning how busy our day was going to be, so that was a shoo in for me to ask what he wanted to eliminated from our day. He decision was Awana. It will not be quality time with just him and me but we will have a nice Sunday evening together as a family. He has wanted to be outdoors and play with the kids, thank you Lord for such a beautiful day and for giving us the time today to enjoy each other!
ReplyDeleteThe one sentence that stood out to me in this ch. was, "If you are irritable, it is because you choose to be." This is something God has been teaching me over the past few months!
we've had a good 'family day'! had family stay with us all weekend so we've been busy with them. so today has been NICE with just us five :)
ReplyDeleteI have to give Richard props on this, big props! I was out of town Saturday night (most of Saturday and then got home on Sunday around 2pm). He had the kids solo for over 24 hours and he made some fun family times for them!! He actually made homemade sugar cookies and homemade icing with six different colors-when he first told me on the phone I totally thought he was going to say "haha, gotcha!", but he actually did it. Amazing! They had so much fun, I have to say I didn't really do anything yesterday that I wouldn't have normally done to spend time with him, but we both did go to bed earlier than normal at the same time, which doesn't usually happen.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! You go girl's!! So Ben get;s back into town from his business hunting trip and wants to take me out on a congratulatory date for my run. Quincy said he would watch the kids while we were out on our date so we didn't have to find a sitter.
ReplyDeleteDate night? What does this have to do with the dare? You see i had needed to go grocery shopping and neglected it because I have to be Super Sneaky with these dares because Ben is very "nosey" and can SMELL when I'm up to something. So grocery shopping was the neglected task. (Ben does not "enjoy" grocery shopping but we always have fun/act goofy with one another when we go to grocery stores, the mall or target together)
Besides it was US Spending Time With One Another and I felt this was going to be the most I could get out of him (also dinner) after driving several hours from a hunting trip. ;)
We had a very nice evening. We ate dinner at Gloria's and then went to Walmart for some groceries and great conversation and lots of lovey dovey-ness. LOL
