My hubby is priceless to me but I am horrible at nurturing him when he is not feeling well. I like the way this ch says it, "when you show love to your spouse you are showing love to yourself as well." and then it says, "if he is wounded in some way, you should think of yourself as an instrument that helps bring healing to his life."

Chad's need today is for his laundry to be washed. I normally do all the laundry on Monday. He just got back from a business trip so I decided to do a load of his clothes today! He loves having enough white t-shirts and workout shorts on hand! :)
AND I bought the game Phase 10 yesterday to give to him. Another thing he needs to some fun one on one time with me at night, so I thought we could play this game together tonight. After the kids go down he like being able to just relax and do something that takes his mind off of work, which is usually some type of TV show. But lately he says he does not want to just watch TV at night.
I am sure we will have a fun time!

ReplyDeleteI thought this chapter was great! I loved the last paragraph. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do for Chris tonight. TV controls our nights a lot of time. I think I'm going to try to come up with something outside of TV! :-) I think now I have an idea...hmmmm... ha! We use to play cards together, maybe we should do that tonight. :-)

ReplyDeleteToday was a very busy day yet a fun and blessed one. With that being said Ben has asked numerous times for a back massage and I think tonight is the PERFECT time for me to do just that. He and I are about to go for a late run and after the run and showers I'm going to surprise him with a back massage. Have a good evening ladies!
Boooo!!! Ben feel asleep putting Sophia to bed so NO massage tonight. It's okay. I still enjoy the "make up" process because I feel like I'm serving my husband more than asked ;) Nighty night!
ReplyDeleteI tried to take Richard his workout bag to work for him b/c he forgot it BUT when I called him about it-he said he didn't have time to go to the gym anyway. POO! Oh well, ladies-the cool thing about this dare is it is something we can do whenever the need arises!!
ReplyDeleteI sent Daniel and email with a "coupon" for "a free full body massage". I specify "full body" b/c I rub his back every night, but this included feet, legs, arms, etc. He was floored! He kept asking what he did to deserve it. It felt good to "cherish" him and do something solely for his pleasure.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to post this with my previous post. Since it was such a busy day I did however manage to get fold/hang/put away some of the laundry that is on the recliner in our bedroom. (Ben's pet peeve) I also took some vinyl sticker letters and spelled out "I Love You Agape Ben" on ur bathroom mirror. Ben loved it!
